Why is global warming occuring?
The leading cause of global warming is us.
We burn 21.3 billion tones or 21.3 gigatons of carbon dioxide per year. This raises the amount of greenhouse gas in the lower atmosphere causing it to heat up. Cars, coal, big machines, factories are all human actives that burn fossil fuels. Tress's play a huge role in filtering our air, but we cut down 3.5 to 7 billion trees a year. This eliminates carbon sinks in forests and habitats for animals. The industrial revolution took place between the 18th 19th century, Europe and America became urban and industrial, allowing more fossil fuels to be burnt.
