How does global warming affect people and animals?
The increase of global temperature has huge affects on our planet and the creatures living on it.with the greenhouse gas levels in the atmosphere its trapping more heat causing longer and worse droughts. This affects the land used for farming and the land animals depend on to feed, by drying it out. The warming of the planet also causes extreme weather like tornados, tsunamis', lighting storms, and hurricanes, that can wipe out entire cities and habitats. Heatwaves are getting more intense, increasing hospital visits due to the heat and dirtier air, affecting our health. Global warming is also causing extreme issues with the oceans. The water heats up and expands (ocean thermal expansion) this causes sea levels to raise 4-8 in the last century. The melting ice sheets Greenland and the Artic are causing the levels to raise too. By 2100 levels will raise 11-38 inches, enough to swamp cities, destroy habitats, and contaminate our soil. Displacing millions of people and animals, and destroying coastal cities.
